The Dedication Ceremony took place on Saturday, May 15th 2004. It was a truly joyous event. We would like to thank everyone who came to join us on this beautiful occasion. For those who could not attend the event, we decided to bring the event to you! Please click on the images below to view video clips of the event.
For several years, we have planned for the moment when we could make our expansion dreams a reality. In 1997, we acquired a two-acre tract of land on Harden Drive adjacent to the existing campus. This purchase provided us with the ideal location for the multipurpose facility where it can be integrated easily into the CSPH campus.
The Board of Trustees worked with Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates to develop a master site plan for the CSPH campus and initial architectural renderings of the Life Learning Center. We would also like to give special thanks to Collins Project Management and Brasfield & Gorrie Contractors for their outstanding service and dedication throughout the building process.
It
is an exciting time for the Carrie Steele - Pitts Home.
We are certain that the Ollivette S. Allison Life Learning Center will quickly
become an integral part of our service offerings. It will
build on the strengths of the existing programming and
provide greater opportunities for children to learn and
grow. It will offer an unprecedented opportunity for Carrie
Steele - Pitts Home to serve the surrounding neighborhood
with community meeting space and after school programming.
Our
children's tomorrow's are in our hands. By building the
CSPH Life Learning Center, we are building a legacy for
the future.
